1. Will movers disassemble my furniture?

We at Hillsborough Movers offer the service of furniture assembly and disassembly at no extra charge and with our own tools as a part of our standard moving rate. We want to provide your items with the best possible care and safest form of handling during your move.

2. Will movers move guns?

Items that are heavier than 450lbs or that are dangerous, flammable or hazardous will not be moved by Hillsborough Movers. If you have any further questions about any items that might be a part of these categories, it is best to give us a call so we can provide you with more information.

3. Are movers insured?

Not every moving company offers insurance as a part of their moving services as not every company is licensed. Licensed moving companies will always provide you with moving insurance and some might even offer additional coverage for your belongings that you can purchase for your move. 4. Are movers licensed?

6. Will movers move a piano?

As long as you are moving an upright piano from the ground floor to the ground floor at your new location – we will have no trouble moving it for you. In other cases, it might be best to hire a piano moving company as they will handle your piano in the best possible manner and provide it with proper care during your move.

7. How many movers should I hire?

Our moving consultants at Hillsborough Movers will suggest the best number of movers for your move based on the complexity of your move, size of your move and if you are moving any special items – as well as any special circumstances that might require more or less manpower on the job.

8. When to hire movers?

Calling your movers at least 4 weeks before the day of your move to reserve your spot on their calendar might be the best way to ensure that they have an open slot for your move to take place. 9. Will movers move a gun safe?

10. How do movers charge?

Once our movers at Hillsborough Movers arrive at your location – that is when the clock will start and that is when we start charging. Once your move is completed at your new location – that is when the clock stops and the total time will be calculated, and you will be provided with the final bill for our services.
